The people here are simple and happy, which adds to the reasons for visiting Bhutan at least once in a lifetime. There are a number of restaurants in Bhutan which serve traditional food, Indian as well as other cuisines to cater to the needs of the tourists.

Ambient Cafe

So when you are in Bhutan, the most interesting combination of colourful colour scheme for the interior decoration and nice environment. They have ample veg choices for the vegetarians. The place is best for small meals and coffee or iced tea. All in all, it is a fantastic dining and lodging experience.

Brusnika Russian Cafe and Bakery

This is a weekend place. Coconut pumpkin soup, buffet, and pastries are the main attractions of the place. The place also serves Russian hospitality for weekend brunch. They have been recently preparing for Halloween party.

Junction Bookstore Cafe

For those of you who love to read, this is the perfect shopping paradise in Bhutan. Charming at every level, this is beyond a bookstore and is an avenue for readers to talk and discuss literature, popular culture and all things books. It is a well-known café for books, book clubs, discussions on literature. They do not entertain bargaining.

Coffee Culture

If you like coffee and a delicious dessert, you are just at the right place in Coffee Culture in Thimphu. They also serve nice meals including fresh green salad. The cosy coffee shop is a good place to be for lunch, coffee time, or a casual dinner.

Central Café

The cafe has a nice ambience. It is very well cleaned, nicely maintained, and ideal for all age groups. Their breakfast platter was great value for money. It offers the best chilli toast in town. Both tea and coffee are also quite good. They offer delightful spaghetti bolognese, that are hard to find in other cafes in Bhutan. The most delightful thing about the place is the mousse cake. They specialize in theme-based cakes.
