Following the lead of Diet Prada, Diet Sabya or Diet Sabyasachi is the Indian version that’s serving up hell to the fashion industry and Bollywood alike.

An anonymous Instagram account, Diet Sabya is exposing imitations or appropriations, even blatant copies, in fashion. Naming the biggest names in Bollywood, fashion designers and stylists in the process, the account is certainly a nightmare for everyone who’s featured.

In just a few months since its launch, it has already called out many Indian designers like Falguni & Shane Peacock, Nikhil Thampi, Manish Malhotra, Amit Aggarwal, and Nitya Bajaj for being ‘too inspired’ or just simply copying the designs. Committed to calling out the fakes, the fashion watchdog also has an impressive following of 58.5k users.

Take a look at the few who were called out, and do not miss the savage captions!

Malaika Arora was clicked in a Deme by Gabriella outfit that was embarrassingly ripped off from a Monse Maison ensemble.

The caption asked, “Wonder how Malaika feels while wearing rip-offs out in public.”

Kareena Kapoor Khan was also targeted wearing a Dolce Gabbana inspired outfit. The feature resulted in long explanations from the designer, however the netizens were not too convinced.

Not only women, Shahid Kapoor was also called out for wearing a rip-off of Kris Van Assche' FW13 look— 'custom-made' by Anuj Madaan Couture.

Fashion designer Rocky S was called out for copying Zara's design, seen on Esha Gupta in the picture.

Clearly, the fact that a team of anonymous people can rile up established names is testimony to the power of the internet.

“Copying isn’t cool and we will make sure the online universe knows that... About time serial offenders, influential or upcoming — be called out for their mediocrity,” Diet Sabya told HT over email in an interview.

So follow them on Instagram now if you're not, because we surely cannot wait to know who they call out next!
