World's Most Expensive Shoes Priced At A Whopping $17 Million


The world's most expensive pair of shoes, priced at USD 17 million, were recently launched in Dubai. These gold-plated shoes are studded with hundreds of rare diamonds and two 15 carat D flawless diamonds.

Dubai is known for its rich, elegant lifestyle. The Arab city is home to wonders like the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa and even creating an artificial island, Palm Islands. Adding to its list is the latest - most expensive shoes in the world.

These exclusive shoes were launched at a whopping US$ 17 million at the world's only 7-star hotel, Burj Al Arab. These shoes are made with silk and are gold plated. Reportedly, hundreds of precious diamonds are studded in the shoes with two sturdy D flawless diamonds of 15 carats each on the top.

The stilettos have been designed by Jada Dubai, a UAE based company known for making luxury shoes studded with diamonds. The project is made in collaboration with Passion Jewellers, UAE. Hemant Karamchandani, the Chief Executive of the jewellery company, supplied the diamonds for the making of these expensive shoes. A city renowned for its affluent and rich billionaires, Dubai poses a potential market for these luxurious objects of beauty. People love splurging on collectables like these frequently.

The luxury footwear was made over a period of nine months. The on display shoes are made in European size 36 (UK 3.5). But, on full payment, the shoes can be customized according to the clients' requirements. Reportedly, there is only one such pair in the world and all that there will ever be.

During the launch, Jada Dubai spokesperson also announced that they would come out with three more limited edition shoes, which would be studded with rubies, pearls, and diamonds and would be made of gold. The Diamond pearl sandals cost around US$ 25,000 and the ruby ones are priced around US$ 27,000. All prices are inclusive of taxes. Maria Majari, the co-founder of Jada Dubai, said that the company is known for making diamond footwear and endeavours to make high-quality, exclusive shoes with the rarest of diamonds.

UK designer, Debbie Wingham, previously held the title for designing the most expensive shoes. There were worth US$ 15 million and were made on demand for a Middle Eastern client's daughter.
