Bubble tea is basically made using a scoop of tapioca pearls, fruits, fruit puree, and loads of sugar. The bubbles, also known as tapioca pearls, are found at the bottom of the glass of this photogenic beverage. These pearls are extracted from the starch from cassava roots, which is a vegetable found in South America.

The health benefits of bubble tea include its high calcium content. Researchers have concluded that the tapioca pearls that are used in bubble tea are loaded with several essential vitamins and minerals required by the body. The healthy bubble tea with less sugar contains iron, which is a mineral essential for the body to make hemoglobin and myoglobin which are two essential proteins present in the blood and muscle tissue. This drink also reportedly contains a small amount of zinc, copper, selenium, and manganese.

As it is said that there are two sides of a coin. Bubble tea is not just healthy but also has certain side effects. The researches have suggested that the tapioca pearls found in this famous tea contain harmful chemicals that could affect your body. Excess amounts of anything could be harmful to the body. This is why bubble tea should be consumed moderately. One should switch to healthy flavour options instead of using sugar syrups.
