Mojito Syrup: Here are a few recipes on how to make the drink at home

Mojito is a traditional summer drink. Here are recipes of how to make mojito syrup at home. Mojitos have lemon,sugar, ice and soda but you can add alcohol too.

Mojito is considered as one of the best summer drinks. Recently, the drink has also become popular as a cocktail option. Once you master the art of blending in the right amount of sugar, lime and mint, you can start experimenting with this drink and make your own version of mojitos. You can even add alcohol to your drink if you find the drink too sloppy. Given below are a few recipes for making mojitos.

How to make Mojitos at home:

The Classic Mojito

Ingredients

  • Sugar
  • Mint leaves
  • Lemon
  • Club Soda

How to make it:

Add sugar or sugar syrup, mint leaves and a little club soda into a tall glass. Squeeze the juice from both halves of lemon into the glass and drop one-half of the lemon in the glass. Fill the entire glass with soda and garnish with mint leaves. To give it a fruity flavour, you can add strawberries, blueberries or peaches along with mint and mix everything. Add ice for a refreshing taste.

Tip: White Rum or Gin goes well with this drink.

Coconut Mojito

Ingredients

  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Lemon wedges
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or 2 tablespoons of sugar syrup
  • (2 tablespoons) cream of coconut
  • 1 cup chilled club soda

How to make it:

In a glass, add coconut cream, sugar or sugar syrup. Squeeze out the juice from both halves of lemon in a glass. Add soda to it and garnish it with Mint leaves, lemon wedges and freshly grated coconut. 

Tip: Malibu coconut rum is the best suitable combination for this cocktail.

Pomegranate Mojito

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of pomegranate
  • 1 cup of pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup lemonade
  • ½ cup Club soda
  • 2 teaspoon of sugar or sugar syrup
  • Mint leaves and lemon wedges.

How to make it:

Mix pomegranate juice, sugar, and lemonade in a glass. Fill the glass with club soda and garnish with mint leaves, lemon wedges and pomegranate.

Tip: You can add vodka for a better taste

Cucumber mint mojito

Ingredients:

  • Lemon
  • Mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar or sugar syrup
  • 6 slices of cucumber
  • 1 cup club soda
  • Ice

How to make it:

In a glass, add sugar/ sugar syrup and a little club soda. Add cucumber slices and mix well. Fill the glass with club soda. Squeeze lemon and garnish with cucumber, mint leaves and ice.

Tip: Add white rum to this drink, if you want to make it a cocktail
