McDonald's is known to cater to the palate of the region the joint is at. If you think it is country specific it sure is, but in a nation like India where our tastes are diverse, the restaurant chain has managed to adapt to that as well. And now making its way to the menu is rice, it's not yet time to move over burgers, for buns will continue to be staple at McDonald's. Though rice is the usual at any other joint in the country, it's rare here. The chain is touted to be a burger brand which is also one of the crusaders in the business in India. With the new addition in its menu, you'll have the best of both worlds under the same roof - rice in a bowl and patty in bun.

A little more about the latest addition - rice bowls:

This is an attempt to have wholesome meals and in India a filling platter usually consists of rice, heeding to the need of the target audience this is how McDonald's has revamped their menu. As of now the current menu shows six variations in the segment, ranging from spicy to cheesy meals. The bowls in the vegetarian and non-vegetarian sub categories are loaded with veggies and meat, respectively.

Here's how the current menu looks, take a squiz at it!

Talking its colourful menu, the fast food giant has designed an area specific menu, like Bengaluru has South wings, Punjab has Chole, Dubai has Mc Arabia chicken this is how closely the region is studied, though there's a standard one that makes it around the globe and that cannot be touched. But we at Mumbai love the Aloo Tikki. The love for potato patty burger is never fading away, the menu may have newer items added to it, but that won't let Mumbaikars forget this crunchy burger, many choose it over the Chicken Mc Grill. For a non vegetarian to pick a vegetarian burger is not only big, but a huge deal!

Coming back to the new entrant we'll have to be patient and wait for reviews as it is fairly new on the cards.
