There is no perfect mantra for a quick healthy meal or dinner. But there are Core Four Foods, according to every nutritionist, that one must use to compose every plate, i.e. healthy fats, non-starchy carbohydrates, starchy carbohydrates, and protein. The logic behind these macro-nutrients is that they get absorbed easily and make blood sugar more stable. Moreover, the meals are quite flexible and versatile. Pears with butternut squash

Ingredients

 • 1 large butternut squash

 • 2 large pears

Cut this non-starchy vegetable in half and remove the skin. Sprinkle salt and pepper and drizzle it with olive oil. Cut the pears, roast it with butternut squash at 450 degrees. Continue until tender.

Grain bowl

Chop roasted walnuts, add grated ginger to it. Pour three tablespoonfuls of apple cider vinegar and one spoon of water into the mixture. Also add lemon zest, one minced shallot and one tablespoonful of regular mustard to it. Sprinkle salt and pepper as per your taste. as you have combined the ingredients, emulsify with avocado oil and extra virgin olive oil.

Quinoa

Add half a cup watercress, one tablespoonful of fresh lemon juice, one tablespoon of kosher salt and two tablespoonfuls of extra virgin oil into the raw organic kale. Cook and sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Fluff it before serving.

Tempeh

Combine one big tablespoon of olive oil, one-third cup of maple syrup, minced garlic, half a tablespoonful of fresh thyme, half a tablespoon of fresh minced sage and a one-eighth tablespoon of ground cayenne pepper for glazing. After this cut tempeh into pieces and toss it in the glaze. Add salt and pepper according to your taste. Roast the mixture until the glaze starts to caramelize. You are now ready to serve.
