It is still essential to have regular tests for breast cancer. Being conscious of changes in your breasts and recognizing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer is very vital.  A new lump or swelling is considered to be the most common symptom of breast cancer. If you notice anything unusual, it is essential to check with your doctor as soon as possible. Here are a few ways to check for breast cancer at home.

3 ways to check for breast cancer at home

According to a medical report, nipples are supposed to be observed closely for any sores, peeling, or shifts. Inspect your breasts physically on your sides with your hands. First, lift your arms at the top. Check for any contour changes, skin swelling or dimpling, or changes in the nipples. Put your hands on your shoulders and press your chest muscles tightly to relax. The left and right breasts aren't exactly identical, so watch for any dimpling, puckering, or shifts, particularly on one hand.

While taking a shower, you can check for symptoms for breast cancer. Using your finger pads, push around the whole breast in a circular pattern that travels from the outside to the centre and tests the entire area of the breast and armpit. Search for any bump, thickening, or hardened knot on both breasts each month. Notice any changes and get a healthcare provider to assess lumps. Feel the breast's changes. It helps to have your hands slippery with soap and water. Search for any lumps or thickening in your underarm area. Place your left hand on the hip and move to the left armpit with your right hand. Repeat with the other leg. Test all sides above and below the collarbone for lumps and thickening says a medical report.

The breast tissue spreads uniformly along the chest wall when lying down. Place a pillow under your right shoulder and behind your head and your right arm. Using your left hand, gently move your finger pads over your right breast in small circular movements, covering the whole surface of your breast and armpit. Squeeze the nipple; test for lumps or discharge. Repeat these steps for your left breast.
