How many times have you wanted to quit the gym, just because it does not fit into busy work schedules or simply because you did not bother to go? Then you simply realize that it was a waste of money and wanted to quit. While quitting the gym through a message or a call over the phone may sound as simple as it can be, for a man in the United States it actually was actually not.

Only because the man did not want to face the elephant in the room, he wrote a heartfelt breakup letter for 'quitting the gym' - it is hilarious and going viral on social media.

He took to social media to state that he was moving to a different state and his gym "wouldn't let him cancel on the phone", sharing a picture of the letter, and captioned it, "I dropped this in the mail today."

The letter read: "It is with deep regret, and a heavy heart that I write this. But while it was one of the more taxing decisions I've had to make of late, it is the right one. The purpose of this letter is to end my relationship with Planet Fitness. I know I've been distant, but it’s because I've changed. I have different needs now, and to be frank… you really haven’t changed at all. I don’t want to change you, and it pains me to think that we were once one, but are now separate and in different places".

He goes on to explain that there is a gym at his new apartment with a state of the art whachamacallit that helps him shape his figure the way it was unknown to him in the earlier gym. However, he went onto profess that he was sorry, saying "things couldn't have been better".

"I still think fondly of you, and the time we spent together as I drive by one of your locations."

He signed off the letter by saying that "all good things must come to an end" and then went onto state that his wife also needed to cancel her membership at the gym.

The letter has been widely shared on social media, with people commenting on the photo to say that they've had the "same issue".
