Hair loss or baldness is one of the most common problems worldwide. It is affecting one-third of the population of the world. Hair loss is a natural phenomenon; hence people should not worry on a few follicles falling off. Hair loss can be due to many reasons and causes such as improper diet, mineral deficiency, medications, stress, pollution, and genetics. Wearing a cap, hat, or helmet also can be a reason in men. Here are some causes and prevention's and solutions to help reduce or deal with baldness.

  • Hormonal changes and medical conditions
  • Medications and supplements

  • Certain hairstyles and treatments

How to avoid premature balding?

Regularly wash your hair with a mild shampoo

Regularly washing your hair is necessary and it prevents hair loss by keeping hair and scalp clean. Doing so, you are dropping the risk of infections and dandruff that may lead to hair damage or loss. Also, clean and healthy hair gives the impression of more volume.

Avoid combing wet hair

Whenever you wash your hair and your hair is wet, it is in its weakest state. So you should avoid brushing wet hair because of the chances of hair loss increase. But if it is necessary for you to comb wet hair, use a very wide-toothed comb. Also, avoid brushing hair too many times as doing so can harm hair and increase loss.

Keep yourself hydrated

Your hair shaft comprises of one-quarter water. Hence, drinking at least four to eight cups of water in a day is compulsory. To stay hydrated and for the healthy growth of healthy hair, proper water intake is needed.

Reduce alcoholic beverages and avoid smoking

If you are experiencing hair loss than reduce your alcohol intake. As drinking alcohol reduces hair growth and also is unhealthy. To decrease or exclude alcohol to see an increase in hair growth. Also, smoking cigarettes decreases the amount of blood that flows to the scalp and this grounds a reduction in hair growth.

Avoid Constant heating & drying

Do not treat your hair too many times, i.e. constant heating and drying procedures. Heat deteriorates hair proteins. Even constant heating and drying can lead to weakness and delicateness that causes hair loss.

Keep away from chemicals

Use of harsh chemicals and permanent hair colour products on your hair could be damaging for hair health. So, when you are suffering hair loss, it is instructed not to colour your hair.

There are many health conditions, particularly skin-related conditions, that causes changes in hormonal balances which in turn lead to hair loss. Make sure you see a doctor regularly for your underlying illnesses and conditions.
