What a time to be alive! Social media is going berserk with an innovation that promotes and talks about sexual consent. A company from Argentina called 'Tulipan Argentina' has unveiled their new product 'consent condom' that requires all hands on deck to open its packaging.
Here's how it works, watch the video -
The world’s first “consent condom" comes with a unique design that requires two parties to press special points on the side of the packet to open the box.
Joaquin Campins of BBDO, the ad agency responsible for the marketing of this product said in an interview to 'The Next Web': "Tulipan has always spoken of safe pleasure but for this campaign we understood that we had to talk about the most important thing in every sexual relationship - pleasure is possible only if you both give your consent. If it's not a yes, it's a no."
The company has been spreading slogans as a part of their campaign. "Why can this little box only be opened by two? Because that's how consent in relationships works," and "Only If there is consent, there is pleasure."
Netizens are happy with this product and have showered praises on social media.
According to the reports, the product will be released by the end of 2019. Till then, the company has been marketing it by handing them out to couples in bars as free samples. And the same report also mentioned that the product came into being after a survey done by AHF Argentina revealed that only 14.5 percent of Argentinian men regularly used a condom. 65 percent said they occasionally used condoms, and a 20.5 percent said they’d never used a condom.
