Why This Lesbian Couple Set Their Wedding Gowns On Fire After Exchanging Vows

A same-sex couple, April Choi, 32, and Bethany Byrnes, 28,  willingly set their gowns on fire as they walked down the aisle.

Just when you think you have explored all the extremes of a wedding, a happy couple is seen set on fire as they take up their wedding vows. However, it was not an accident or crime but the same-sex couple- April Choi, 32, and Bethany Byrnes, 28,  willingly set their gowns on fire as they walked down the aisle. As per media reports, April and Bethany enlisted guests from their wedding parties to torch their gowns while they were still performing their wedding rituals wearing them.

The dangerous images and videos of the incident show how flames eventually engulfed their dresses as the much-in-love couple stood holding hands. However, the brides April and Bethany were completely safe following the incident. As per media reports, the pair who are both variety entertainers, boast fire-eating and breathing among their talents. They mutually decided to pull off the stunt during their wedding on 13 October. Reportedly, the gown they wore were specially altered to make the trains detachable.

The couple, who reportedly organised their special day in reverse, started off with the celebration as they hosted their reception in the afternoon before taking up wedding vows in the evening, at Camp Tanager in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, USA. While taking up vows they wore a different gown, following which they went outside hand-in-hand, and their stunt dresses were lit on fire.

The spectators were shocked to see the couple burning their wedding dress at the wedding. As per media reports, Choi and Byrnes met each other in February 2012 and started dating in July 2013. Reportedly, Choi popped the question four times unsuccessfully till the time Byrnes accepted the engagement ring as a birthday present on the fourth attempt. The couple finally decided to get married in December 2016.

This is not the only incident where the couple decided to do something scary on their wedding. Recently, a couple conducted a ghostly wedding photo shoot and the results of the same are romantic, intricate, and spine-chilling at the same time. The perfect amalgamation of gothic vibes and charming wedding feels of the photographs have impressed the viewers.
