India's capital city Delhi has some of the best Ravan Dahans in the entire country. Here are the three biggest and most popular Ravan Dahan events in Delhi.

If you want to see some of the best Ravan Dahans in all of India, then Delhi is the place to be. Delhi has celebrated the victory of good over evil for ages through the burning of Ravan's effigy. Being the capital city of India, you can expect to see some of the most lavish Ravan Dahans. Here are three of the biggest and best Ravan Dahan celebrations in the capital city of Delhi.

Red Fort Ground

The Red Fort Ground is the location for one of the most prestigious Ravan Dahan events in all of India. Each year on Dussehra, Lav Kush Ramlila Committee sets up this amazing event. The Ravan Dahan at Red Fort often also has several celebrities participating in the event. The event has been ongoing since the 1970s and has continued to be one of the biggest Ravan Dahans since its very inception. 

Sampoorna Ramlila

The Sampoorna Ramlila is one of the oldest and greatest Ramlilas and Ravan Dahans in the entire country. It has been ongoing for 62 years now and has some of the best Ramlila performances. Even actors from outside the country come to participate and enact the Ramlila in this event. After the Ramlila, the effigy of Ravan is set ablaze on the day of Dussehra. The entire function is also broadcast on television. The location for the event is in the Lawns, Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra, 1, Copernicus Marg.

Nav Shri Dharmik Leela

Nav Shri Dharmik Leela is a highly prestigious Ramlila and Ravan Dahan event. The event has a 160 ft wide stage to depict the iconic conflict between Ram and Ravan. On the day of Dussehra, the event will see the burning of a giant Ravan effigy. This year in 2019, the effigy of Ravan will also be titled #MeToo. This is to promote awareness about sexual harassment and abuse that has been prevalent in India. 

Here are the best Ravan Dahan events in the capital city of India. Delhi has several other events that are worth visiting but are not mentioned here. If you are unable to visit any of these Ravan Dahan celebrations, do not worry as there will certainly be a good event near you. You cannot visit all of these places on the same day, so select the one that is best for you and go there. All three events are worth visiting at least once.
