Transport is a major issue when it comes to travelling abroad, especially when one is travelling either solo or in a small group of two or four. Transport is also extremely expensive when one considers a trip abroad. During times like these, the Indian transport system, whether public or private, sounds extremely budget-friendly and easy to utilise. Many Indians today hold an official driving license but many people think they would require an international driving license in order to drive abroad. Few people are aware of the fact that there are countries abroad that allow you to rent a car with your Indian driving license. Listed below are a few countries that allow one to drive and rent a car with your current Indian driving license.

Best Countries for a Self-Drive Car Trip with an Indian Driving License

1) United States of America

Many people think travelling and driving abroad becomes a hassle, especially in huge countries with complicated legal hassles and documentation. Things get a lot easier for those who would love a road trip in the United States of America, even for people who have an Indian driving license, as the country permits Indian driving license holders to drive and rent a car anywhere in the country. After a year, if you prolong your stay, you would have to switch to the US driver's license.
