Congress President Rahul Gandhi addressed the media at the Bhiwandi court after charges were framed against him on Tuesday in connection with the defamation case filed against him by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Talking about the defamation case filed against him, the Congress chief said, "Time and again they have put charges against me, no matter how many they do, I don't even bother"

The defamation case was filed against Rahul Gandhi by an RSS functionary of Maharashtra, Rajesh Kunte, for giving a statement in his election rally on March 6, 2014, saying that the right-wing organization is behind the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi.

Rahul further stated, "Our fight is against the policies of PM Modi which deprives the farmers and leaves the youth unemployed." 

"Narendra Modi has maintained his silence on the two major things - agriculture and unemployment. He never speaks on the high prices of Petrol and Diesel, and we will continue to fight against it. " he added. 

Charges have been framed against the Congress president under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
