Congress Endorses Caste-based Politics In Patna, Puts Up Hoardings Revealing The Caste Of Each Leader

Written By Prakash Singh | Mumbai | Published:

Voting on the basis of caste is a reality in the Indian politics, but the recent acts by the Congress party, wherein they put up a hoarding in Patna openly displaying the caste of its politicians, has put to shame the world's largest democracy.

The Congress, through these hoardings, has tried to flaunt that it has maintained social balance by appointing people from all sections of the society within the party. Recently, it had revamped its state's leadership by bringing in new office bearers.

In an poster put up by Siddharth Kshatriya, party president Rahul Gandhi can be seen, with his caste displayed as 'Brahmin'. Sitting alongside him is Shakti Singh Gohil, who is termed as a 'Rajput'.

Alpesh Thakpore and Sadanand Singh have been called 'backward', whereas Kaukab Kadri and Akhilesh Singh have been called as 'Muslim' and 'Bhumihar' respectively. Newly appointed state president Madan Mohan Jha has been termed as a 'Brahmin'.

These politicans talk about working beyond caste, creed and religion, but in reality, this brazen display of caste has stunned the people.
