Former Georgetown guard Mac McClung will play at Texas Tech after Davide Moretti's departure from the Red Raiders to play professionally at home in Italy.

McClung led the Hoyas with 15.7 points a game last season, while also averaging 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists. He played in only 21 of Georgetown's 32 games because of a right foot injury.

After initially testing the NBA waters, the 6-foot-2 guard said earlier this month that he was going to transfer from Georgetown. His departure followed the transfers of four other Hoyas players.

McClung played 50 games during two seasons at Georgetown, averaging 13.1 points per game as a freshman when he scored 33 points in a game at Big 12 team Oklahoma State. His last game for Georgetown was Feb. 19 against Providence, when he played only eight minutes and missed all three of his field-goal attempts when trying to come back from the foot injury.
