Luka Doncic 2nd player in NBA history to score 40-point triple-double under 21

Dallas Mavericks' Luka Doncic became the second-youngest player in NBA history to score a 40-point triple-double before turning twenty-one

Luka Doncic became the second player to score a 40-point triple-double below the age of 21 while playing the San Antonio Spurs. The other player is LA Lakers’ LeBron James. Doncic is also the first-ever Maverick to score a 40-point triple-double. Doncic finished the game with 42 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds. The Mavericks won the match 117-110. This is also his sixth triple-double of the season.

Doncic scored 17 points in the first quarter itself, which included 4 three-pointers. He entered Q4 with 34 points, 11 assists and 9 rebounds. Doncic’s 42 points are also his career-best. After this game, Doncic is averaging at 29.5 points, 10.7 rebounds and 9.3 assists. No player in the league has averaged more points or assists than Doncic below the age of 21. With 13 triple-doubles, he also the most triple-doubles by a player before turning 21.
