The cricketing fraternity was left in splits in October when Pakistan took on Australia in a three-T20I series in the TUC Cup 2018, with the winner taking home a trophy which had a biscuit on top of it.
And now, the saga has only continued and the Pakistan Cricket Board has come up with something even more funnier. It was confirmed on Thursday that the trophy for the three-match Test series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be called as 'Oye Hoye' cup 2018. The first Test of the series began on November 16.
In October, Pakistan's T20I series against Australia created huge buzz and excitement, but not for the on-field reasons. When the captains of the two teams, Sarfraz Ahmed and Aaron Finch stood together to unveil the trophy, the cricketing world had gotten a reason to laugh.
While the social media users had their share of fun, the ICC also joined in the act. In one of its tweets, ICC gave a ‘whole new meaning’ to giving and taking biscuit
It was then followed by another hilarious post on Twitter, wherein the cricket's governing body compared this trophy with the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 which Pakistan had won after beating India.
Pakistan Cricket Board, sensing a chance to have a bit of fun on their own, hit back with a very cheeky reply to ICC. "Dear @ICC Who cares? Both are ours! #PAKvAUS #NumberOneT20ITeam," their message on Twitter read.
