India's middle-order batsman Ambati Rayudu has decided to move on after he announced his shocking retirement from cricket on Wednesday. The veteran batsman failed to find a place in the Indian squad for the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. He was once again overlooked by the selectors when all-rounder Vijay Shankar was ruled out of the tournament due to a toe injury and Mayank Agarwal was named as a replacement.
The 33-year-old's sudden retirement was too hard to digest for the fans and they criticised the Board of Contol for Cricket in India (BCCI) for not respecting his talent and underappreciating his contributions for the side.
As Rayudu decides to begin his new journey in life, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar came forward to thank the Andhra batsman for his contribution to Indian Cricket. At the same time, the Little Master also wished him luck for his second innings.
