Drama continued at the Eden Gardens when Kolkata Knight Riders clashed with Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday. Kings XI Punjab's celebrations were cut short due to a big mistake which eventually went on to be a costly one. The incident happened on the final ball of the 17th over. Mohammed Shami had yorked Andre Russell as the Kolkata fans were left shellshocked. The Punjab boys started celebrating before the on-field umpire signalled it as a no ball as there were only three fielders outside the circle while there should have been four as per the rule.
The Kolkata crowd who were silent suddenly started to erupt as the Punjab team vented out their frustration in the middle.

Russell would get his revenge on Shami during the 19th over as the West Indian all-rounder hit Shami for a boundary and three sixes. He was dismissed in the final over but by then he had scored a 17-ball 48 which took KKR to a huge total of 218/4 in their 20 overs.
