Delhi Capitals will be hosting the two-time IPL Champions and the current table toppers Kolkata Knight Riders at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium on Saturday. The hosts will be looking to snap KKR's winning streak while KKR will be aiming for their third straight win. Delhi will be eager to overcome their previous loss against Chennai Super Kings while Kolkata Knight Riders will be upbeat after their 28 run win over Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday.
KKR have been very solid in their first two matches of this season as they have clicked well in all the three departments of their game. They have now arrived at the Kotla for registering a hat-trick of wins and continuing their dominance. Ahead of their clash against Delhi, the 2012 and 2014 winners went on to praise one of their most important pillars Andre Russell as well as make a statement to their opponents to beware of the West-Indian power-hitter. KKR shared the picture on Twitter.
Andre Russell has played an important role in KKR's first two wins in this season. He first helped the Knights snatch victory from the jaws of defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad by his explosive 19-ball unbeaten 49 which included four fours and four sixes at a strike rate of 257.89. He continued his splendid run in the next game against Kings XI Punjab on Wednesday. He also had his fair share of luck. He was yorked by Mohammed Shami in the 17th over but the on-field umpires signalled a no ball as there were only three fielders inside the circle while there should have been more than three. He then went on to clobber Shami for 25 runs in his next over. He scored a 17-ball 48 at a strike rate of 282.35 which helped KKR post a huge total of 218/4 in their 20 overs. He then contributed with the ball by sending Chris Gayle back to the dugout very early.
