The Pakistan team were trolled by fans on social media after knowing that their World Cup campaign is done and dusted. Iceland Cricket also joined the party as they came forward and took a dig at the former World Champions.

In fact, Iceland Cricket have been grabbing the spotlight in the ongoing quadrennial event with their hilarious tweets and this time, the 2017 Champions Trophy winners were at the receiving end. In yet another tweet, Iceland Cricket said that Pakistan have to bat first and score 308 runs in their match against Bangladesh to qualify for the semi-finals. Adding on to their misery, Iceland Cricket gave the reality-check to Pakistan team, saying that they have to bowl out Bangladesh for 0.

"NET RUN RATE ZINDABAD," said Iceland Cricket in its tweet, posting a hilarious GIF.

Their tweet created a laughter riot among social media users. Here are some of the funniest reactions:

Meanwhile, Pakistan are virtually out of contention of the semis race in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Despite making an amazing comeback by beating South Africa, New Zealand and Afghanistan in an edge-of-the-seat thriller, it will be mission impossible for Sarfaraz Ahmed and his boys to make it to the last four. The Men In Green will need to beat Bangladesh by over 300 runs.

The 1992 winners now have nine points in eight games and the maximum they can collect is 11 points, to equalise the Black Caps, who have no games in hand. However, the former has a humongous battle on their hands, because of a massively inferior net run rate, -0.792 to the latter’s 0.175.

As per the numbers quoted by statisticians, Pakistan now need to win by 311-321 runs batting first to make it to the semis. If they score 350, they need to win by 311 runs, if they score 400, then by 316 runs and if scoring 450, by 321 runs.

What's interesting is that if Pakistan field first, they'll be out of the tournament even without a ball being bowled, since they can't overturn the net run rate deficit in that scenario. If Bangladesh really want to rub it in, we know what Mashrafe Mortaza just needs to do if he wins the toss.
