Jofra Archer made his Test debut in the ongoing match against arch-rivals Australia at Lord's. He got his opportunity after veteran pacer James Anderson was ruled out of the contest due to a calf injury. He took two wickets in the first innings at an economy rate of 2.03 and has taken a couple more in the second innings as he got the better of opener David Warner and Usman Khawaja in their chase of 267. However, the Barbadian pacer made yet another impact with his extra pace as another batsman was taken down.
Steve Smith was ruled out of the ongoing contest as he has suffered a concussion after he received an awkward blow on the back of his net by Jofra Archer on Saturday as youngster Marnus Labuschagne was named as his concussion replacement. However, even Labuschagne was given the same treatment by Archer during Australia's run chase.
It happened in the sixth over of the fourth innings. On the fourth delivery, the speedster bowled one on the deck and the ball shot up unexpectedly Marnus fails to duck it on time and is struck on his helmet after which he falls down. The English players run towards him but the young man gets back to his feet in no time. Meanwhile, Archer was seen concern this time, unlike Saturday.
The video of Jofra Archer's lethal delivery flooring yet another batsman was posted on Twitter.

After Archer's lethal bouncer had floored Steve Smith, he faced backlash from Shoaib Akhtar. The Rawalpindi Express took to Twitter to express disappointment with Jofra Archer and said that bouncers were part and parcel of the game but whenever a bowler floored a batsman, it was the courtesy of the bowler to check on the victim. He condemned Archer's actions and said that he was always the first one to rush to the batsman when such an incident occurred during his playing days.
