Cricket Australia has appointed ex-Australia players, Michael Hussey and Ryan Harris, to be part of the support staff in the two upcoming T20I series where Australia will host Sri Lanka and Pakistan. The development was revealed on October 20 and Hussey spoke about his feelings on his appointment. Mike Hussey has played 38 T20 Internationals for the Australian side and also played for the Chennai Super Kings and the Mumbai Indians in the IPL. Harris, on the other hand, has only played three T20Is for Australia but made himself a vital part of the IPL when he played for the Deccan Chargers and the Kings XI Punjab.

Ryan Harris has come in as the bowling coach for the two series. Head coach, Justin Langer, has been using this approach of short-term coaching staff appointments since last summer. Ricky Ponting was brought in as a consultant to the team during the ICC Cricket World Cup, earlier this year. Langer earlier talked about how the involvement of these experienced players adds value to the dressing room and the full-time coaching staff's efforts.

Sri Lanka and Pakistan, next.

On October 27, Australia will host Sri Lanka at the Adelaide Oval and the match should surely be a treat for cricket fans. Sri Lanka faced Pakistan last and even though, they were not playing their main squad, they still managed to defeat Pakistan and clinch the series win from them by winning all three matches. Now that full-time captain, Lasith Malinga, returns along with some important faces, Sri Lanka can expect to do well down under as well. Pakistan will later visit Australia on November 3 and will be looking to turn their fortunes around with the appointment of new skippers - Babar Azam (T20I) and Azhar Ali (Test).
