The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced its squad for the remaining three ODIs against West Indies to be played on October 27, 30 and November 1.

India currently enjoys a 1-0 after the two matches played. After the first ODI saw India winning in a one-sided affair, many expected the second fixture to follow suite. However, the second ODI will be remembered for years after both the teams ended their respective innings on 321.

During the second ODI,  Virat Kohli became the fastest to 10,000 runs in the ODI format, achieving the feat in 205 innings. He became the numero uno by breaking the record of Sachin Tendulkar, who had accomplished this feat in 259 innings.

After a series of underwhelming performances by the current crop of bowlers in the first two ODIs, pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have been called into the squad to bolster the attack.

The only player to be dropped from the squad is right-arm fast bowler Mohammed Shami. In terms of performance, Mohammed Shami was the best Indian bowler in the first two ODIs, while Umesh Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed struggled for wickets. However, Shami might be rested keeping in mind the tour of Australia which takes place next month.

While Khaleel was dropped out of the playing XI for the second ODI, as India opted to have a third spin bowler in the form of Kuldeep Yadav. The same is expected for the remaining three ODIs, with India most likely looking to not tinker with its three-spin and two-seam bowling combination.

It remains uncertain whether Rishabh Pant will feature for the third ODI and remainder of the series against West Indies, after the wicket-keeper batsman suffered an arm injury while fielding at the boundary line during the second ODI.

This means that Umesh Yadav might possibly be given a rest too. It also remains to see if KL Rahul and Manish Pandey get their chances, having warmed the bench for the last two ODIs.

Here's the full squad:

Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (vice-captain), Shikhar Dhawan, Ambati Rayudu, Rishabh Pant, MS Dhoni (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Khaleel Ahmed, Umesh Yadav, KL Rahul, Manish Pandey.
