Kolkata Knight Riders beat Kings XI Punjab by seven wickets at the IS Bindra Stadium on Friday. By virtue of this win, the two-time champions jumped up to the fifth position in the points table after having registered six wins in 13 games with 12 points, thereby keeping their playoff hopes alive.

There were a lot of standout moments in this game which included Chris Lynn taking a stunning catch while he having a chat with the commentators and Shubman Gill's father breaking into 'Bhangra' after KKR's win. However, there was another moment that included stylish West Indian off-spinner Sunil Narine. No, it was not a magical spell from him but the way the 30-year old effected a run out which helped KKR in getting the big wicket of a well-set Mayank Agarwal.

The incident happened in the 14th over of KXIP's innings which was bowled by Narine while Mandeep Singh was on strike. On the third delivery, Narine bowled one outside the off stump as Mandeep guided the ball towards long-on and set off for a couple of runs. But, Rinku Singh charged in, collected the ball quickly and threw it at the bowler's end. However, Narine fumbled at the non-striker's end having failed to collect the ball properly. It seemed that he had dislodged the bails with his hands in the first instance. The on-field umpires then sought the third umpire's assistance. The replays showed that the ball had first made contact with Narine's hands and then hit the stumps after which the Trinidadian all-rounder had dislodged the bails with his hands. Therefore, the decision went in favour of the visitors as Agarwal had to head back to the dugout.

The video of this run out was posted on Twitter. Take a look.

KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik had won the toss and elected to bowl first. They got rid of the explosive Punjab batsmen, Chris Gayle and KL Rahul, early. Mayank Agarwal (36) and Nicolas Pooran (48) then added 69 runs for the third wicket. English all-rounder Sam Curran' explosive knock of an unbeaten 24-ball 55 took the hosts to a competitive total of 183/6 in their 20 overs.

In reply, KKR chased down the target with two overs to spare riding on Chris Lynn's 22-ball 46 and youngster Shubman Gill's splendid knock of an unbeaten 49-ball 65.
