While the 10-day festival is vastly celebrated by Hindus, recent times have also invited interest from foreign nationals. From popular film stars to eminent sports personalities, several celebrities are known to have celebrated the festival.

The latest testament to this fact is Brett Lee, who was spotted seeking blessings of the elephant god at the Ganesh Seva Mandal. The reported mandal located in Sion East is known to be Mumbai's richest Ganesh mandal. Interestingly, this is only pandal in the city where rituals are performed round the clock.

It was a visual treat for the devotees who got to see the elegant Brett Lee decked up in traditional Indian attire. The former Australian cricketer sported a cream kurta coupled with white pyjamas, as he partook in the celebrations at the GSB Seva Mandal.

Given the rivalry India and Australia share on the cricket pitch, it is very rare for an Australian to be loved by an Indian. But if there was one person who could bridge the gap between the two section of fans, it can only be Brett Lee.

The Australian spearhead is known to have built a huge admiration for India culture during his commentary stint for the Indian Premier League. Recently, he was also spotted wearing a yellow turban on his visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
