Shattering gender borders in Cricket, four Indian cricketers - Virat Kohli, Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur and Veda Krishnamurthy - have confirmed their participation in a mixed-gender T20 exhibition match, scheduled to be held after the ICC Men's World Cup 2019.

Here's the promotional video of the event:

As a part of closing the gap between women's game and the men's game of Cricket (still known as the gentleman's game) in terms of benefits, popularity and reach to consumers, a campaign called 'rcchallengeaccepted.com' has been launched.

This campaign aims at 'challenging the status-quo in cricket with India's first-ever mixed gender T20 match'. The four cricketers along with the rest of the players of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have confirmed to feature in this exhibition match. Other player participation has not been confirmed yet.

This has thrown the occurrence of this unique event into jeopardy. One of the sponsors of this event has asked the players to garner more votes before they flag off the event. In a pitch to garner support from cricket aficionados around the country forcing RCB to hold the event, T20 and ODI cricket captains Harmanpreet Kaur and Mithali Raj have tweeted:

With only 5 days left to vote, RCGameforLife has put out a poll asking for support:

Twitterati have rallied behind showing their support with 79% voting 'Yes' for the event as of Thursday.
