While speculations ran rife about former Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni's retirement on Thursday, his IPL team Chennai Super Kings, set the record straight with a clear, yet coded message. The IPL team's official Twitter handle tweeted in Game of Thrones style, writing - 'Not 7oday'. Invoking GoT's Arya Stark's famous response to 'What do we say to Death?', the team confirmed the news that India's star wicketkeeper who wears the No.7 jersey, is indeed not retiring, not today. Dhoni has been CSK's captain since the premiere of the Indian Premier League, only switching to Pune when CSK was banned for two years.

MSK Prasad rubbishes Dhoni retirement rumours

Meanwhile, on Thursday, Chief selector of Team India MSK Prasad rubbished rumours of former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's retirement. Calling them baseless, he said that he had no idea where the news came from. Prasad was addressing the press as he named India's Test squad for three matches against South Africa. Ever since India's exit from the World Cup after failing to beat New Zealand in the semi-finals, speculations of MS Dhoni's retirement have been rife. But it was fuelled by Indian skipper Virat Kohli when he shared a picture of a moment from the semi-finals of the 2016 World T20 with MS Dhoni and himself.

Sakshi Dhoni silences rumours

Confirming that India will indeed not see Dhoni hang up his gloves soon, Dhoni's wife Sakshi Dhoni took to Twitter to address the rumours that were raging the internet since the morning. Taking to the micro-blogging website, Sakshi wrote 'Its called rumours'. The wicketkeeper-batsman completed his two-week stint with the 106th battalion of the Territorial Army from July 31 to August 15. He is expected to return to action after his break officially ends on September 21.
