Leicestershire batsman Mark Cosgrove showed how to tackle a short ball recently during a County Championship match between Leicestershire and Durham. It so happened that when Ben Raine bowled a short delivery, Cosgrove comes forward and as the ball pitches, it swings and bounces at such an angle that it hits his helmet and deviates towards the slips. Fortunately, it does not cause any damage to the batsman as the ball after making contact with the helmet goes straight into the hands of the slip fielder.
The video was posted by County Championship on their official Twitter handle.

Intentionally or unintentionally, Mark Cosgrove did something out of the box and it ended up leaving the netizens in splits. Here's how the Twitterverse reacted to the Leicestershire player's moment of madness.
Surely the best header from a Aussie since Tim Cahill retired. #toprightcorner— mark cosgrove (@cozzie99) August 22, 2019

Would that count as his four if it went to the boundary? 😂— Ethan Jackson (@SCFCethan) August 21, 2019
Mark Cosgrove scored a splendid century which helped Leicestershire seal a draw against Durham. Durham had declared at 544/9 in their first innings while Leicestershire were asked to follow on after being bundled out for 236 in their first innings. Cosgrove's unbeaten 107 ensured that Leicestershire finished at 363/8 as the match ended in a stalemate at Chester-le-Street.
Jofra Archer had floored his Rajasthan Royals team-mate Steve Smith during the second Test match at Lord's due to which Smith has been ruled out of the third Test match. The young Barbadian pacer had also floored Marnus Labuschagne with a lethal bouncer. Nonetheless, unlike Smith, the young batsman who was roped in as a concussion replacement got back to his face in no time and helped the Aussies secure a draw.
