South African speedster Dale Steyn, who recently called it quits in his international Test career, took a dig at the South Africa Cricket Board's new selectors for leaving him out of the squad that was picked for the T20 series against India later this year.
The veteran pacer replied to a fan on Twitter, who pointed out that Steyn had been left out of the squad alongside a footnote at the end of the CSA's announcement, that said Chris Morris did not make himself available for selections.
Dale Steyn took a subtle dig at the selectors as he replied to the fan and said that he had lost his number(chance) in the reshuffling of the coaching and management staff of the South African cricket team. Here's Steyn's reply:
Despite the fan pressing Dale Steyn to reveal who the new selectors were, the pacer did not divulge into the details but simply apologized to Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Indian cricket fans.
Steyn apologized to Virat Kohli and to the Indian fans for not being able to be a part of the T20 squad, as many Indians were eager to see the fiery pacer play in the sub-continent.
South Africa will travel to India for a three-match T20 series starting from September 15. The two sides will then compete in a three-match Test series.
