Shreyas Iyer has been leading the Delhi Capitals well from the front. His leadership skills have not only helped Delhi reach the summit of the points table, but has also helped them in qualifying for the playoffs.

Prior to their game against the defending champions Chennai Super Kings, Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan came forward to speak a few words on Shreyas Iyer's leadership skills.

"Well he has been a great leader and he is learning so much from this tournament. It is a high-pressure tournament where he has handled himself well in crunch situations."

At the same time, 'Gabbar' also said that Iyer has always managed to keep his composure.

"It is tremendous that as a youngster I have not seen him reacting or getting frustrated which sends a very strong message to all the players of our team because when we are playing we all look up to the captain. Especially when any individual makes a mistake like a dropping a catch or something. So, it's good that he has that calmness and stability of taking that."

The southpaw also praised his captaincy tactics by saying that his moves regarding bowling changes and field placements have been good. Dhawan then signed off by saying that the youngster is still learning and he will learn more.
