Deodhar Trophy: India B vs India C report card and player ratings

India C defeated India B on Saturday in the third match of the Deodhar Trophy by a whopping 136 runs. India C won the toss and chose to bat first. India C kept on losing wickets frequently until the fifth-wicket partnership between Virat Singh and all-rounder Axar Patel steadied the ship. Virat remained not out for 76 runs whereas Patel played a quick cameo. The all-rounder scored 98 runs from 61 balls which included 13 fours and three sixes. Both the batsmen upped the ante in the death overs and scored 122 runs in the last 10 overs.

India B was set a target of 281 but never got going as they suffered a batting collapse. India B captain Shubman Gill fell in the second over after scoring just one run, following up poorly from his List A highest score of 143 that he scored against India A. Baba Aparajith top-scored for India B with 53 runs from 90 balls. Mayank Markande picked up four wickets whereas Ishan Porel and Jalaj Saxena shined with two wickets eachas well for India C. India C go up against India B itself in the final of Deodhar Trophy 2019 on Monday.
