Mumbai Indians knocked Kolkata Knight Riders out from this season's IPL after a comprehensive nine-wicket win at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday. This win has helped Mumbai edge past Chennai Super Kings to the top of the points table.
Hardik Pandya was one of the pioneers of this win. He picked up the crucial wickets of Shubman Gill and Chris Lynn after the duo had added 49 runs for the opening wicket. He bowled an impressive bowling spell of 2/20 in his three overs at an economy of 6.67. The star all-rounder was adjudged 'Man of the Match' for his excellent bowling performance. However, during the post-match presentation, after he received his 'Man of the Match' award and approached the interviewer Harsha Bhogle for a handshake, the 57-year old could not oblige Pandya as Bhogle had turned towards the camera.
The 'Voice of Indian Cricket' realized what had happened and took to social media to clarify the matter. He wrote that it was good to chat with Hardik Pandya after the post-game presentation and that he also finds Pandya very easy to talk to. At the same time, the star commentator also confessed that he had to turn to the camera at the end due to which he completely missed his handshake. He also hoped that it did not look too odd.
