There is a bad news for all the die-hard cricket fans out there as rain will play a spoilsport in Sunday's big-ticket encounter. Both India and Pakistan have borne the brunt of their respective matches getting washed out previously. Pakistan had to split points with Sri Lanka after their June 7 clash was washed away without a ball being bowled while India's previous encounter against New Zealand also had to be abandoned due to rain.

There is a huge rain scare at Manchester ahead of India's high-octane blockbuster clash against Pakistan on Sunday. Watch the video here.

Not only is the rain playing a spoilsport, but what is more disappointing is that there is a lack of seriousness by the organisers to handle the situation. It seems that they are not concerned about millions of fans who have been waiting with excitement for this epic blockbuster. At the same time, the fans' interests are also dwindling beacuse of the unfavourable weather conditions. Many fans stand to suffer huge financial losses.

The pitch is covered and 3 medium Super Soppers at work. However, that won’t be enough if the sun doesn’t come out because it’d take 5-6 hours for the outfield to dry. There’s even a lack of energy from the groundsmen.

More rain is expected but still no precautions have been taken. Covers are still not on for the full ground. What's worse is that there is only a 10% chance of a full match while there is a 70% probability of a no result. The Ashes series has been scheduled properly but the showpiece event of Cricket was compromised. Is it a deliberate attempt or a sheer callousness from ICC?
