Some people regard him as the ultimate 'God of Cricket', others refer to him as the greatest batsmen ever in modern-day cricket, Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar is one of the most legendary cricketers in the Indian history who has won millions of hearts across the world. The 'Master Blaster', the 'Litte Master', Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his birthday on April 24. After making his international debut at the age of 16 in 1989, the 'God of Cricket' came a long way achieving unprecedented milestones over the celebrated 24-year old international career.

Born in 1973, Tendulkar has turned 46 on Wednesday, and celebratory birthday wishes started pouring in from all across the spectrum.

His former IPL team Mumbai Indians took to Twitter and posted a tweet, asking the netizens to share what Tendulkar means to them in 'one word' (literally). They started with their own 'one word', saying "G.O.A.T."

He was the part of the Indian team which won the 2011 Cricket World Cup, which was his sixth world cup appearance. In 2010, Tendulkar’s name was among the 100 “Most Influential People in the World” in Time Magazine.

An Arjuna Awardee (1994), a Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Awardee (1997), Padma Shri recipient (1999) and Padma Vibhushan recipient (2008), Sachin Tendulkar played his last match on November 16, 2013.

With every possible batting record in his cap, Sachin Tendulkar has become the ensuring part of International cricket. In 664 international matches across formats, the literal 'God o Cricket' scored 34,357 runs at an average of 48.52 including 100 centuries and 164 half-centuries.
