Harbhajan Singh's 1998 debut throwback pic on Instagram wins fans over

Harbhajan Singh, who is one of the finest spinners that India had, shared a throwback picture remembering the moment when his dream turned into reality.

Harbhajan Singh may not be playing for India any longer but he is one of the best spinners to have played for the 'Men in Blue'. He will always be remembered for his match-winning hat-trick in the 2001 Test match against Australia at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The 39-year-old cricketer on Sunday posted a throwback picture on Instagram, remembering the moment when his dream turned into reality. 

"Must share this pic.. 1998 when i got my dream became reality playing for India was only and the only thing in my mind.. so grateful thank you baba ji Satnam waheguru," Harbhajan shared on his Instagram account.

This is not the first time that Bhajji has shared his image from the past. In April this year, he tweeted an image of him making his debut for India in ODI cricket. He wrote "21 years ago, 17 April 1998 i made my first appearance for INDIA in one-day cricket cap no 113, against New Zealand At Sharjah.. Time fly yes it does."

Harbhajan Singh debut and career

Harbhajan, who made his Test debut against Australia in 1998, has gone onto pick up 417 wickets in the longest format of the game. His ODI record is equally impressive, picking up 269 wickets in 236 matches and played a key role in Team India's World Cup triumph in 2011. In the T20I format, he picked up 25 wickets in 28 matches. He last wore the Indian jersey in the year 2016 when he played a T20I against the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Punjab cricketer currently plays for Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and has been doing a remarkable job with the ball in his hand.
