It is official|! Bowling all-rounder Jofra Archer has been named in England' s15-member World Cup squad. However, the surprising thing about Archer consolidating his World Cup spot is that the young cricketer from Barbados has only made three One-Day International appearances for England. He made his ODI debut earlier this year against Ireland. Archer's inclusion means that one of England's star all-rounders David Willey failed to make it to the quadrennial event. Willey has been a part of England since 2015 and has played a good hand in their ODI dominance.

On the development, Rajasthan Royals, with which the England pacer played in the 2019 Indian Premier League, took to Twitter and congratulated the 24-year-old for finding a place in the World Cup squad. Read here:

Royals also put Archer's image along with their star players Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes who will also be representing England. In the tweet, RR wrote the "Three Royal Lions will be hunting together in the upcoming World Cup":

At the same time, Sussex Cricket also posted an image of Archer donning England's World Cup jersey.

Archer's Big Bash League (BBL) team Hobart Hurricanes also took to Twitter to give their best wishes to the youngster.

Hosts England are being labelled as the favourites to win the 2019 World Cup. Since their first-round exit from the 2015 World Cup, England have only lost just one bilateral ODI series at home. They had also made it to the semifinals of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 which they had hosted. England will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on May 30.
