Virat Kohli overtakes Suresh Raina

Kohli surpassed Suresh Raina to become India's highest run-scorer in the shortest format of the game i.e. T20 cricket. He achieved this feat against the Caribbeans where he scored a 23-ball 28 before he was castled by pacer Sheldon Cottrell. The 30-year-old now has 8416 runs while Raina (8392 runs) takes the second spot. Other Indian batsmen in this list include Rohit Sharma (8291) and  Shikhar Dhawan (6953).

The Delhi batsman also has the second-highest number of half-centuries in the T20I format (20) behind vice-captain  Rohit Sharma (21).
