As Team India completed their 203-run trouncing of the visiting South African team, the inaugural edition of ICC World Test Championship moves one step further into what has been a fantastic initiation for Test supremacy so far. After just two months into the tournament, the ongoing championship has already witnessed several Day 5 finishes, close matches, great centuries and thrilling fast-bowling spells. In the three contested series so far (with fourth one still running), World No 1 Test side India whitewashed their hosts West Indies in a one-sided affair. In Sri Lanka, the New Zealand team won their 2nd Test match to level the two-match series against the island nation. The 2019 Ashes, which also saw some of the most closely fought matches between two teams in recent memory, ended in a 2-2 draw after hosts England won their final Test by 135 runs against Australia.
