India beat South Africa by seven wickets in the second T20 International match in Mohali thanks to a fantastic knock by Indian captain Virat Kohli, who scored 72 runs. He was given the Man of the Match award for his match-winning knock. The Proteas are currently in India for a tour of limited-overs matches and three Tests. After the opening match of the tour ended in a washout in Dharamshala, the series was then reduced to a two-match affair between the two nations.
After winning the toss in the second T20I, India chose to bowl first and the decision paid off as the Men in Blue restricted South Africa to 149/5. In response, the Indian openers set the tone right from the beginning of the second innings. Shikhar Dhawan scored 40 runs before getting caught by David Miller. Kohli came in and had a 61-run partnership with Dhawan. Pant, who came in for Dhawan, only added four runs before getting picked by Tabraiz Shamsi. Shreyas Iyer came in next and he helped Kohli to comfortably finish off the match.
