India is celebrating its 73rd Independence Day on Thursday. It was on this day in 1947 that India finally won freedom from British rule after a long wait of over 150 years. On this day, all the citizens of India came forward to not only celebrate this historic day but also to remember the great leaders who had sacrificed their lives to make this a reality. While the wishes have come pouring in from all corners and as people from all parts of the country unite to celebrate this occasion, even the sporting fraternity is coming forward to wish the fellow Indians.
