India "ready To Rumble" With The New Orange Jersey Ahead Of England Clash: Here's How The Erstwhile Men In Blue Reacted

  • Following the official launch of the new orange jersey, members of Team India took to social media to share pictures of themselves donning the new jersey
  • ICC posted a video of the players wearing the new jerseys and posing for a photo shoot on their official Twitter handle following which Yuzvendra Chahal and Md Shami posted pictures of themselves wearing the new jersey.
  • India meets England in their next fixture on 30 June, where they will look to seal a berth in the semi-finals with a victory over the host nation

An evident tinge of excitement was seen at the Indian camp, as players started to share pictures of the newly revealed orange jersey, two days ahead of their clash against host country England at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Sunday. 

BCCI officially revealed the new kit on their Twitter handle, following which players from the team took to various platforms on social media to share their excitement. 

ICC posted a video of the players of Indian squad donning the Orange jersey, captioning the video as "special occasion, special kit". ICC announced that India would wear the new attire for the game against England in support for the One Day 4 Children campaign. Watch the video here: 

Members of team India took to their personal handles on Twitter to share their excitement about the new away jersey. Pacer Mohammad Shami posted a picture of himself and teammate KL Rahul wearing the new jersey and announced that they were ready for the next match with the new jersey being donned. 

 Spinner Yuzvendra Chahal posted a photo of himself wearing the new jersey and said that he was ready to rumble for the next game on Sunday. 

Before the commencement of the World Cup, the ICC introduced a new rule asking the teams to sport home and away jerseys in the tournament.

ICC rule reads, "For televised ICC events all participating teams will be required to provide for two different coloured kits, except for the host country who has preference in the choice of colour and may, if it chooses to do so, provide only one coloured kit to be worn in all matches throughout the event. In advance of the event, the teams will be notified which coloured kit will be worn in each match."
