Team India Skipper Virat Kohli put forth yet another remarkable innings on Friday as he led the team to victory against South Africa in the first ODI match which took place in Durban. Kohli struck 112 off 119 balls with the help of 10 boundaries and put on 189 runs for the third wicket with Ajinkya Rahane (79 runs of 86 balls) as India chased down the target of 270 with 4.3 overs to spare.

This marked Kohli's first ODI hundred on South African soil and was also was India's first ODI win against South Africa at Durban, and only their sixth overall in bilateral engagements since 1992-93.

While wishes poured in from across platforms, Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma did not step back from cheering for the skipper. While in one post she wrote, ‘What A Guy,’ in another she shared a picture of the cricketer with two heart emoticons and ‘100’ written over it.

In one of the most-awaited weddings in tinsel town and on the playing field, the two got married in a private event, attended by close family members and friends, at a resort in Tuscany, Italy.

Apart from Anushka, an array of other cricketers also praised Kohli for his performance with the bat.

The ODI series between India and South Africa will conclude on February 16 and will be followed by a three-match T20 series, beginning on February 18.
