Team India completed a clean sweep against the West Indies with a seven-wicket win at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on Tuesday.
Rishabh Pant was the hero for India with an unbeaten knock of a 42-ball 65 which included four boundaries and four maximums at a strike rate of 131.11. Pant, who had failed in the first two games added 106 runs for the third wicket stand with skipper Virat Kohli after both the openers were dismissed early. His blistering knock helped India get home with five balls to spare.
After his heroic knock, sealed the game for the Men In Blue, the young wicket-keeper batsman was interviewed by vice-captain Rohit Sharma. Sharma, who had surpassed Chris Gayle's record for the most number of sixes in T20Is in the previous game reminded the youngster that he knew that the 21-year-old was frustrated as he could not perform well in the last two games but then showed composure in the final game.
"I could not score well but I focussed on my process, trusted myself and continued the same thing and got the desired result", said Pant.
The video of this interview was posted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on their official Twitter handle.
