Team India will be hoping to settle for nothing less than a win when they lock horns against the West Indies at the Port of Spain on Sunday. India were in action for the first time in the 50-overs format on Thursday after their heartbreaking semi-final loss in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 last month. But, the weather gods had other plans as the first of the three-match ODI series was washed away due to rain at the Providence Stadium in Guyana after 13 overs of play.

As India look forward to winning the first match and take an unassailable lead in the three-match series, batting superstar Virat Kohli is also on the verge of creating a new record. Now, the question is which record will be shattered by the Indian skipper? Let's understand the same.

Virat Kohli just needs 19 runs to break Javed Miandad's record against West Indies in ODI's

All the Indian captain needs to do is score 19 runs in the 2nd One Day International. If he does, then the 30-year-old will surpass former Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad in becoming the leading run-scorer against West Indies in ODI's.

Miandad has 1930 runs against the Calypso Boys from 64 innings whereas, Virat has amassed 1912 runs in just 33 innings. Therefore, if the batting maestro does manage to score those many runs, then the 1992 World Cup-winner's 26-year -old record will be shattered.

After wrapping up a 3-0 T20 series over the hosts, the Men in blue have now set their eyes on their next target - the ODI series.  India are praying to get a full game in the second match after the first game was abandoned due to heavy downpour in Guyana on Thursday.

Virat Kohli does the Bottle Cap challenge

Skipper Kohli took to Twitter to post a video of the #BottleCapChallenge. He announced his arrival with a caption that read 'Better late than never'.  Indian coach Ravi Shastri's booming voice, a tape from his commentary days in the past, booms in the background as the star batsman takes on the challenge. Such was the sync between the skipper and coach that the former's actions went hand-in-hand with the latter's words.
