As the stage is set for the top four teams to battle it out in the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, the governing body of world cricket International Cricket Council (ICC) has come up with their ODI rankings for batsmen and bowlers. It is good news for Indian fans as two of their star players Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have retained the top spot in One Day Internationals for batsman and bowlers.

As the stage is set for the top four teams to battle it out in the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, the governing body of world cricket International Cricket Council (ICC) has come up with their ODI rankings for batsmen and bowlers. It is good news for Indian fans as two of their star players Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have retained the top spot in One Day Internationals for batsman and bowlers.

Kohli, who is currently leading Team India in the ongoing quadrennial event is ranked first with 891 ratings. The Indian skipper has so far scored 442 runs in eight matches and is at the ninth position in the list of top run-getters. Kohli's biggest highlight of the tournament was scoring five consecutive half-centuries. He had scored them against Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, West Indies and England respectively.  

As 'King Kohli' has retained the 'Numero Uno' spot, let's take a look at others who have made an impact in the batsmen's rankings. Captain has his subordinate Rohit Sharma at the second position who is having a dream run in the World Cup with five tons to his name. Pakistan's Babar Azam has rose up to the third spot due to some amazing batting in the tournament. South African skipper Faf du Plessis and New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor occupy the fourth and fifth spots respectively.

The showpiece event has also helped some of the world-class players to improve their rankings. The explosive opening batsman David Warner has taken the sixth spot after a spectacular comeback to International Cricket while England's Joe Root takes the seventh spot. Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson, South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock and Aussie captain Aaron Finch take the eighth, ninth and 10th spots respectively.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah retained his top spot with 814 ratings. Bumrah has been having an amazing World Cup. The young pacer has picked up 17 scalps in eight matches at an economy rate of 4.49. 

New Zealand speedster Trent Boult has grabbed the second spot while Australia's Pat Cummings is at the third position. South Africa's Kagiso Rabada and Imran Tahir take the fourth and fifth positions. Afghan mystery spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman is at the sixth position while the leading wicket-taker of the ongoing World Cup, Mitchell Starc finds his name at the seventh position. India's chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav and young Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan share the eighth spot while there is no mention about any bowler at the ninth spot. Kiwi fast bowler Lockie Ferguson occupies the 10th position.
