  • Harbhajan Singh stated that he doesn't want to give much of an advice to skipper MS Dhoni
  • The 37-year-old also feels that CSK fans are the best in IPL

The final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is nearly here. After a month and a half, the two teams who finished first and second in the group tables are the one's fighting for trophy. Chennai Super Kings, back from a two-year ban, are aiming to win their third title. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad, under the new leadership of Kane Williamson, have been the best team in the tournament by far.

Harbhajan Singh is one player who doesn't need to be told about IPL success. With three titles under his kitty, he had a glorious 10-year stay with Mumbai Indians. But at the 2018 auction, he was let go by them, and happily picked up by CSK.

Bhajji is one of the senior-most members of the side, and has vast knowledge about Wankhede pitch. He and Ambati Rayudu have played numerous matches at that venue for MII. But despite having such experience in his armory, he feels CSK skipper wouldn't need much advice from him or Rayudu.

Speaking exclusively to Republic Tv, the 'Turbanator' said, "Well, to be honest, I don't see that Dhoni needs too much of advice. But of course, when it comes to playing at Wankhede, yes we've played more games and we've more experience playing here. But whatever small little advice we can give, if required, we will obviously feed him.

"We don't want to feed him too much that 'this information, that information'. He is doing a great job and he's been one of the top top leaders of India when it comes to cricket. So he knows what decisions to take, and he knows this ground. He knows what score is good to defend here and what is the chase able score here.

"But yes, it's a team sport so whenever we feel that we need to contribute with something, we need to suggest something, we're always there for him. It will be nice to get another trophy in our hand and that's what we play for. We play to win, to train hard, to work hard just to get to that top level. We're excited that we've come this far. Another one game to go and hopefully we play well and get the right result."

The 37-year-old also spoke about the best fan-base in IPL, and had bittersweet words for the MI fans. "We have, Chennai Super Kings have the best fan following I would say. They are very loyal fans wishing, praying everyday.

"Mumbai Indians, there is a big big fan following but at the same time I've seen fans over here, sorry to say, when we (MI) played over here, they will support, they will continue to support till the time we are winning. But as long as the game goes the other way, they'll start chanting for the other team. So that's not the case with CSK. If CSK fan is there, they will continue to support, whether you're doing well or not. So they don't change in between."
