IPL 2018: Who is Malti Chahar? Meet the mystery girl who just can’t stop cheering for CSK

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has a strong army of fans and followers who cheer for the team at every match. The Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led CSK side has seen several instances of crazy fan frenzy. One girl, in particular, has recently caught the fancy of netizens. She has been spotted cheering for the Men in Yellow from the stadium in several matches. Not just cheering, but her Instagram profile also boasts of her having met MS Dhoni and other CSK cricketers. Who is this mystery girl?

It has now emerged that the woman is Malti Chahar and she is the sister of CSK pacer Deepak Chahar. Malti’s another brother, Rahul, is part of the Mumbai Indians squad, but hasn’t played in this season so far in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018.

 

 

 

 

Malti Chahar’s Instagram photos have only increased the curiosity surrounding her. On March 29, she posted a snap with CSK skipper MS Dhoni and captioned it, “Finally I met the Captain Cool... MS Dhoni.... and he is so damn cool...an awesome person... and a sweetheart....🤩 @mahi7781 #msd @deepak_chahar9 #csk”

 

Not just Dhoni, Malti has also met and danced with Dwayne ‘DJ’ Bravo on his song 'Run D World'. She shared the video on Instagram with the caption, "I also joined the club #rundworld with @deepak_chahar9 and @djbravo47. Look at deepak...cute he is....and #djbravo is a champion #csk #whistlepodu #champions."

 

And if you think her association with cricket ends at supporting CSK, you’ll be wrong. Malti enjoys playing cricket too and had posted a video where she is seen batting like a pro. Watch the video below:

CSK’s fandom is seemingly unmatched. Earlier, in a match between CSK and Rajasthan Royals in Pune, a fan allegedly breached security, entered the cricket ground and touched CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s feet. In the same match, a woman was spotted in the crowd holding a placard that had a sweet proposal for Dhoni. The placard read, "Sorry future partner, but MS Dhoni will always be my first love. I love you Mahi!" Citing a recent incident, CSK might have lost the match to KKR on May 3, but MS Dhoni’s gesture towards a fan who touched his feet won the hearts of millions. A fan, who sported a yellow jersey bearing Dhoni’s jersey number ‘7’, came running to touch the ace cricketer’s feet. While the management and security crew attempted to rush the young fan out of the spot, Dhoni being Dhoni patted the fan’s back in acknowledgement.

And Malti Chahar is not the only ‘mystery girl’ fans have gone gaga over this IPL season. A girl named Shivani Pathak won the internet with her ‘dreamy eyes’ the moment a cameraman spotted her in the crowd at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru during the KKR and RCB match on April 29.

Coming to the standings, at the time of writing this article, Sunrisers Hyderabad were at the top position with 12 points, while Rajasthan Royals were languishing at the bottom with 6 points. CSK stands at the second place and the team will next play RCB on Saturday. Will fans get to see Malti Chahar one more time? They will have to wait and watch.
